| Start: Borough Hall, Brooklyn, NY | End: Upper West Side, NY| Time: 3:30 pm ET | Distance: ~25 miles |

This Ride is brought to you by Jamie Hyams

This ride is a part of our Tribe Ride series in partnership with Hazon, and is open to all cyclists. Ride leaders will be there to guide you. All riders are required to wear a helmet. Bring your own water and snacks! Join us at the beginning to learn more about the Israel Ride, the causes it supports, and the beneficiary organizations.

The Route:

2018 Israel Ride Alum Allan Friedman has created a ~25 mile ride to showcase a few historically Jewish points of interest around New York City and wind up at a nice place to have drinks and appetizers or dinner for those inclined on the Upper West Side.

The ride starts at Borough Hall in Brooklyn. If you haven’t ridden over the Brooklyn Bridge yet – here is your opportunity (great photo opportunity). From here, you will see a few historical Jewish sites in the Lower East Side before moving at a good pace up the East Side Greenway all the way up to the Mayor’s house. From there, we will continue north and stop in Harlem. We will take a break and gaze at a building that is now a church. What clue tells you this was once a great synagogue? Then it’s up another nice stretch along the Harlem River to Inwood. Here too, we have some Jewish history to check out. Finally, we’ll roll back down to the UWS for some shmoozing and for those inclined boozing and noshing.

See the route here.
