Would you like to support the Arava Institute's Israel Ride but may not be able to travel to Israel this fall? The Virtual Ride is a way you can still promote and champion the Arava Institute and its commitment to environmental peacebuilding — now more important than ever.
Together with the physical Israel Ride, the Virtual Ride supports The Arava Institute for Environmental Studies. The Arava Institute for Environmental Studies is the premier environmental academic and research program in the Middle East, preparing future Arab, Jewish, and international environmental leaders to cooperatively solve the region’s environmental challenges.
Riders who fundraise $1,800 will get Israel Ride shorts and those who fundraise $3,600 will get an Israel Ride jersey. The registration fee does not count towards fundraising as it is not tax-deductible.
The Arava Institute is the premier environmental academic and research program in the Middle East that brings together Israelis, Palestinians, Jordanians, and others to pursue solutions to the region’s environmental challenges and, in so doing, builds the bridges for peace. Students live together, study together, and engage in dialogue together. They cross political, cultural, and social divides that exist in their societies- courageously choosing to see humanity in each other, learn from each other, and become lifelong friends. These young people are tomorrow’s future Arab, Jewish, and international regional environmental leaders.
