Film Screening and Israel Ride Information Session

Sunday, January 26th, 2:00 PM

Hosted at Brotherhood Synagogue by Neal Epstein, Israel Ride Alum

Brotherhood Synagogue: 28 Gramercy Park South, New York, NY 10003

The Israel Ride has partnered with Sustainable Nation, the new, award-winning, eco-doc from Israel and Jerusalem U (Beneath the Helmet).

Sustainable Nation is an hour-long documentary about how solutions developed in once water-poor Israel are changing the status quo of managing water resources globally.  One of the three stories featured in the film focuses on Dr. Clive Lipchin, Director of the Center for Transboundary Water Management at the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies. The documentary also features sustainability-focused solutions in parts of the United States, specifically in Central California, which ties nicely into the work of Hazon.

After the film, learn about the experience of cycling 175-350 miles from Jerusalem to Eilat! Hear from Israel Ride representatives and alumni about the Arava Institute & Hazon and how the Israel Ride is much more than just a bike ride.

This is an opportunity to join together with area riders past, present, and future, including anyone interested in riding in Israel for sustainability and peace.
